Kellogg Launches its First Digital Food Drive on Amazon to Make it Easier Than Ever to Help Feed People in Need

In honor of World Food Day, Kellogg is launching its first digital food drive on Amazon.com in partnership with Feeding America. Now, on www.Kelloggs.com/FightingHunger, it's easier than ever to help feed people in need in the U.S.

Every day, millions of people around the world invite our company into their homes. They do so by purchasing the foods we create and enjoying them with their families. My colleagues and I are proud that these foods are feeding and nourishing families around the world.

We care about feeding people in need and we know that our consumers care too. That's why we're excited to announce a new campaign that makes it easier than ever for people to join us in fighting hunger and to help donate the foods hungry families request most, according to Feeding America® food banks across the U.S.

One Click Can Make a Difference
Beginning on World Food Day, October 16, and running through Giving Tuesday, November 27, we've created www.Kelloggs.com/FightingHunger, a special donation page where people can identify a participating Feeding America food bank and easily "click, ship and donate" the following most-needed items:

  • Canned proteins (tuna, chicken, beef, turkey)
  • Canned or boxed meals (soups, stews, ravioli, mac & cheese)
  • Canned vegetables & fruit
  • Cereal (hot & cold)
  • Dried beans
  • Peanut butter and nut butters
  • Dry or canned pasta
  • Pasta sauce
  • Rice
  • Shelf stable milk

Our company works closely with Feeding America and their network of hundreds of food banks across the U.S. Through this work, we've learned that food banks face two challenges — getting food to people in need and making sure that food pantries have the right foods that families request most.  We know that consumers want to help make a difference and provide donations that make a positive impact. And so, through Amazon, we're making it easier to donate these needed items. This campaign is impactful because it will help us enable more nutrient-rich foods to get into the homes of the one in eight Americans who struggle with hungeri.

Creating 3 Billion Better Days
Last year, during World Food Day 2017, Kellogg donated more than 1.1 million servings of food to 38 food banks in 22 countries in support of our Breakfasts for Better Days™ global signature cause platform. This year, we've set a goal to donate 1.5 million servings of food to food banks around the world through numerous employee-led meal-packing events and food drives from now until Giving Tuesday on November 27, and though this creative program.
