May 13, 2013
BATTLE CREEK, Mich., May 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Pop-Tarts® is finally giving teens what they've been wishing for —peanut butter Pop-Tarts! Just in time for summer, the new Pop-Tarts Gone Nutty! varieties hit store shelves nationwide with two highly anticipated flavors — Peanut Butter and Frosted Chocolate Peanut Butter.
"Peanut butter has long been the most requested flavor by our fans," said Dick Podiak, director of marketing for Pop-Tarts. "We think everyone will agree it was worth the wait once they taste these delicious new varieties."
With filling made with real peanut butter, Peanut Butter Pop-Tarts are sprinkled with fine sugar crystals while the Frosted Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor features a chocolate pastry crust and sweet frosting. Both are wrapped in special gold foil, making them stand out from the brand's traditional silver foil wrappers. The peanut butter flavors are available now at local retailers.
To spread the peanut butter news and get the new delicious flavors into the hands of fans nationwide, the Pop-Tarts toasting team is hitting the road on a cross-country trip in a toaster-shaped truck to hand deliver the peanut buttery goodness.
